General Terms & Conditions

1. Scope

These terms apply to the use of the CartoonStory AI web application by consumers and businesses.

2. Services

CartoonStory AI uses AI to generate stories, images, animations, voice-overs, music, and a finished video from your input. The range of functions and the maximum video length depend on your chosen plan.

3. Plans and Credits

Each plan includes a monthly credit balance. Generations consume credits. If the balance is used up, further generations are only possible after a reset at the start of the new billing period or after an upgrade. Unused credits expire at the end of the period.

4. Contract Duration and Termination

Subscriptions run monthly and automatically renew for one month. You can cancel at any time at the end of the current period; access remains until then. Upgrades take effect immediately, downgrades at the start of the next period.

5. Prices and Payment

All prices include statutory VAT. Payment processing is handled by our payment service provider. If a payment fails, access initially remains; we will notify you in the app.

6. Rights to Content

You retain the rights to your input. We grant you a simple, perpetual right of use to the generated results within your plan; commercial use is permitted from the Pro plan. Videos in the Free plan include a watermark.

7. User Obligations

No unlawful, harmful to minors, or rights-infringing content may be created. In case of violations, we may remove content and block the account.

8. Availability and Liability

We strive for high availability, but do not owe uninterrupted accessibility. AI results can be flawed. We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, as well as for injury to life, body, and health, otherwise only for breach of essential contractual obligations and limited to contract-typical damages.

9. Changes

We will notify you of changes to these terms by email at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not object, they are considered accepted.
